I began working in the Financial Planning industry in 2007 and have predominately worked in boutique businesses, preferring the more personalised approach to clients. Over the past 20 years, I have advised a range of clients from those starting out in their late 20’s and early 30’s, through to clients who have transitioned into retirement and are now enjoying that stage of life.
After the birth of my second boy, Archie in 2025, I began assessing what my work life would look like with 2 young boys and a FIFO husband and felt the pull to move to a firm which was closer to home. Having been introduced to Ciaran Davis through my network, I am excited to have joined a planning business that is not only close to home but also has a great environment with lots of laughs along with the seriousness work of getting results for our clients.
I love educating my clients and deciphering industry jargon, so they can learn the many aspects on how their situation can be improved and they can achieve their goals. Everyone can improve their financial situation. This type of information is not available at school when it should be, and a lot of people just simply don’t know how they can make changes to improve their situation. I like to think I can give them the tools and skills to do this.
Completing financial modelling with clients showing them how to get on track to achieve the goals that are so important to them. Whether it’s buying property, building their superannuation to support them in retirement, helping their children, I’ve given them confidence that they aren’t ‘just plodding along’ but are progressing in a way they can measure and see results. Showing them the numbers in black and white means a cloud is lifted off their shoulders and they are able to enjoy life with less stress, knowing they are on the right track.
It’s never too young to start investing. One of my nans gave me my first deposit to buy a share parcel for my 21st birthday (back when $500 was the minimum to invest) and I haven’t looked back.
Shark Island really isn’t surrounded by sharks. After ocean swimming for 6 years around Cronulla’s famous Shark Island, I haven’t seen a proper shark yet (beyond a Port Jackson) and want to continue keeping it that way!
